Air Max 1 '86 OG 'Big Bubble'
With a shoe as iconic as the Air Max 1, it’s fair to say it’s got more lore and backstory than even the grandest of fantasy series, but even then there is still more to uncover. Presenting the Air Max 1 ’86 OG - the 1 before the 1. This was supposed to be the AM1 we know today but when it was released in ’86 the Air bag started bursting in cold temperatures so Nike had to stop production and shrink the Air bag, giving us the beloved design we have today. This incredible piece of sneaker lore returns with a modernized upper that incorporates a breathable mesh base, skirted with red suede, and finished with crisp grey along the eye stays and heel. Underfoot we find the original big window design that definitely doesn’t burst in the cold now, layered above a dual-tone rubber outsole.
