The 990 series from New Balance came into existence in ‘82 from a profound desire to be the absolute best running shoe available. But now over forty years later we can see the 990 series achieved so much more. The legacy of the 990 series continues today with the v6. Debuting in the sultry grey New Balance is known for, the upper alternates between mesh and premium brushed suede. An exaggerated N logo bands the eyestays and mudguard together while a lattice of slate-grey leather is draped on the toebox. Rubberized logo detailing hits the tongue, while ‘MADE in USA’ proudly adorns the heel. Underfoot we find a chunky, dual-tone ENCAP midsole that rises slightly at the heel before we drop into a rubber outsole.
