In celebration of 35 years of Air Max, Nike has graced us with an ethereal rendition of their iconic silhouette. Dubbed “La Ville Lumiere” or “The City of Lights” in honour of Paris, this women’s exclusive shoe is constructed with a signature mesh base layer with iridescent canvas overlays on the laterals and logo-embossed heel. A helping of cream suede skirts the upper, while the tongue has been painted with a deep navy. The classic Nike hangtag has been swapped out for a commemorative embroidered “3.26” to celebrate the day, while commemorative branding also rests on the insoles. The upper then rests on a crisp white midsole with an exposed Air unit at the heel, while a translucent rubber outsole, complete with “La Ville Lumiere” branding completes the design.
